A Wander Through Edinburgh’s Old Town and Calton Hill Ceremony

B & K are the image of fun and spontaneity. It was an absolute joy to work with them, and we will always be grateful they found us!

Just 2 weeks before their big trip to Scotland, B & K decided they wanted to get hitched! B sent us a DM asking if it would be possible? They already had plans to be in Edinburgh, but they needed help picking the perfect spot, renting a kilt, and creating a day that would be equal parts fun, simple, and sentimental. We said, say less.

B & K wanted to keep the plan laidback and unrushed - and since there are no rules when it comes to elopements, we settled on an informal walk through Old Town with some stops at our favorite pubs along the way! We eventually wandered across town to Calton Hill, where Conor led their beautiful ceremony, complete with both quaich and handfasting traditions.

After the ceremony, we headed to one of our favorite pubs in the whole city, and shared some beer and oysters. K (having tried oysters around the world), certified these oysters as the best he’s EVER had. If nothing else, we’re proud to have given them at least that.

Anyway, their day was filled with thoughtful details, swapping stories, and a whole lot of laughter along the way. It truly felt like the four of us spent the day exploring Edinburgh as friends - as if we had met in a previous life!
