You can make St Andrews your base and explore the coastline from there, or tuck yourselves away for a few nights in one of the villages and make the coast part of your stay.

St Andrews and the East Neuk is a perfect balance between nature and architecture. Plus, it’s only about an hour and a half from Edinburgh by car, train, or bus. It feels like a world away from the city, but is still wonderfully easy to reach.
