A Winter Elopement at Edinburgh’s Moody Ruins

K & T travelled all the way from Maine to elope with us in the moody winter city of Edinburgh. After train cancellations, lost luggage, and a Plan B elopement day - we ended up having the best day ever. We started with a slow morning in their cosy Airbnb, with ambient tunes by T and a relaxed atmosphere. We started our adventure with a wander through Grassmarket before we headed to Holyrood Park for a secluded ceremony by the St Anthony’s Chapel Ruin. It was a perfectly still winter day, with a sprinkle of rain here and there. The sun quickly made its way below the horizon, but we weren’t finished exploring Holyrood Park - so we grabbed our lanterns and caught the very last of the light before finishing the day.
