A Wet and Windy Winter Elopement at Loch Etive

A & L came all the way from down under for a moody winter elopement in Glen Etive. A is originally from Scotland, so it was perfectly fitting for the two of them to come back to one of her favorite places growing up. With just us and a bagpiper, we headed down the misty glen to one of our favorite spots tucked into the mountains. A & L wrote their vows against mossy trees, wandered through the sodden leaves, and declared their love by the peaceful Loch Etive. After a tasty quaich ceremony and handfast, we headed back through the woods and up the glen to one of our favorite lookouts over the Three Sisters of Glencoe. By then, the light was quickly fading - which was a perfect opportunity for breaking out the lanterns. Even with the wintery wind and wet weather, it was an absolutely perfect elopement.
