A Lush Spring Elopement in the Mountains of Glencoe

N & Y travelled all the way from beautiful Quebec, Canada for an elopement in the mountains. They chose to stay at the elegant Ardrhu House on the banks of Linnhe for their Glencoe elopement. It was here that we began the day with some shots of N & Y filling out their vow books. As it was midweek, we had the hotel and grounds mostly to ourselves and we took full advantage. When everyone was ready, we drove to the Three Sisters mountain range and began the climb to The Study, which is one of our favourite spots in all of Scotland.

N & Y enjoyed a beautiful ceremony by Conor which included a traditional handfasting and quaich ritual. Their personal vows were shared in French, which made them all the more intimate and special. The spring conditions were perfect, with soft light and fast moving cloud cover sweeping the top of the mountain peaks.

We finished the day with some post-ceremony shots at The Wee White Cottage. With The Buachaille clear of cloud cover and the river Coupall at full flow, conditions couldn’t have been better. The day came to a close as we dropped N & Y back at Ardrhu House to freshen up before their seafood dinner with oysters and champagne. Tres magnifique!
