My partner and I got in touch with MJ and Conor roughly three months prior to our big day - just the timeframe they suggested for planning. Right off the bat, they were clear and to the point about what we could expect from the process. They even gave us a handy guide that covered everything we needed to know before committing to working together. They made us feel confident in our decision to work with them right away; their kindness and passion for their work were evident in our Discovery Call, as was their expertise.

Completing the contract and making our online payments was very straightforward. Once the contract was signed, we received access to our web portal. The portal was very intuitive and it made the planning process much less daunting. The step-by-step process of the planning questionnaire was enjoyable since it was so clearly laid out that we felt no pressure to complete it with haste. The handbook and the questionnaire allowed us to make our own informed decisions about how we wanted our day to be, and opened our eyes to options that we otherwise wouldn't have considered. Conor and MJ were easily reachable for questions and checked in on us intermittently while we completed our questionnaire.

In preparation for the ceremony, Conor took the time to get to know us and our story, which made it all the more special. We wanted to incorporate some traditions from both of our cultures into the ceremony, and Conor went above and beyond to ensure our ceremony embraced the culturally significant meaning behind them.

MJ and Conor made us feel at home right away. We felt like we were spending the day with good friends, which made being photographed feel effortless and fun.

MJ and Conor are focused on ensuring your special day is all about the two of you. They worked with us to build a custom day-of itinerary that catered to our wants and needs. They even offered to drive us the whole day, which we happily did since we were nervous to drive ourselves on those single-lane Highland roads. Truly, the magic was in the details. Everything was so expertly thought out, and they were so well prepared that it allowed us to enjoy a delightfully fun and carefree elopement day. From the beautifully done ceremony, to the heavenly picnic included our favorite bottle of sparkling wine; our wedding day was absolute perfection, thanks to MJ and Conor. Their creativity and personal touch added so much to our special day. We hope to work with MJ and Conor in the next decade for a vow renewal, and treat ourselves once again to another enchanting day in Scotland.

We were beyond nervous about hiring an elopement planner - we didn’t know what to expect, or what we wanted for our special day. MJ took the time to set up several Zoom meetings - first just to chat and get to know each other, then to business. Not knowing what we wanted kept our minds open - and MJ had so many suggestions! It was a lot of fun going through the ideas together to see what sounded like us. Throughout the almost year of planning, MJ was fantastic at looking into stuff, answering our questions, and setting time aside to meet with us. 

Once we got to the day of, MJ had everything planned out. Hair and makeup would arrive at this time, flowers at this time, and photos start at this time. When MJ showed up, everyone was having a great time and smiling. She fit right into the mood and brought good energy with her. 

The ceremony went without a hitch - everything was just as MJ had said it would be. The officiant and bagpiper set the scene perfectly and it was truly a magical time. From the ceremony MJ took us on a fun adventure climbing rocks for our portraits and running around Edinburgh for awesome adventure pictures. MJ is such a fun, energetic person to be around that we never once were tired of smiling, or felt like we were ‘just posing’ for our beautiful pictures. Our pictures came out wonderfully - MJ edited and sent us so many, it took us almost a week to go through and really look through them all. 

Working with MJ was a wonderful experience. She’s organized and resourceful, and I’d recommend her as a planner to anyone and everyone.

MJ was a phenomenal photographer and she delivered an elopement gallery beyond what we had ever expected. From our first meeting and the decision to have MJ as our photographer, we were sure we had made the right choice. The day felt very natural and comfortable, MJ was very easy to chat with and she knew exactly what to do to get the best photos without it feeling like a chore. We enjoyed our day exactly how we wanted, and she captured all of those great memories. During our ceremony we did not even notice how much she was able to document until we received the gallery.

We chose MJ as she had experience with landscape photography and we wanted our photos to capture as much of the landscape that we could. Our photos were exactly what we wanted and more. She nailed all of the great landscapes and gave us so many great photos to look back on. The most difficult part of the entire process is trying to narrow down the photos we want in an album, there are too many fantastic shots.

Beyond her photography skills, MJ was wonderful to work with. We spent two busy days with MJ to visit as many locations as we could and working with her was always a pleasant part of the day. I would recommend MJ based on her professionalism and personality alone, combined with her excellent photography skills I would not even bother to look elsewhere.
