A Rainy, Muddy, Fairy Pools Elopement on the Isle of Skye

Rachel & Will's elopement was absolutely soaking, and unbelievably romantic. We started the day in the calm, remote Dunvegan peninsula in the upper corner of Skye. The morning air was cold and quiet, and both Rachel & Will were brimming with excitement. Their smiles said it all.

We wandered all the way down to the south part of Skye, stopping in Portree to pick up their marriage schedule, and a delicious salted caramel cake. Yum!

We got to the Fairy Pools before most of the other tourists, and found our way (through the mud!) to a gorgeous ceremony spot. Even with a shaky piggy back ride, Rachel's cute white shoes quickly turned brown!

Rachel & Will declared their love for each other next to a gushing waterfall, which was all thanks to the wild and wet weather. They were soaked to the bone, and so happy.

We made our way to Glenbrittle to warm up with a coffee, and had the whole shop to ourselves. We took the chance to get some unique wedding portraits, and then hit the road again. We finished the day with some photos at the iconic Sligachan Bridge, complete with congratulations and well wishes from everyone around. Congrats Rachel & Will!
