Laidback Elopement Ceremony by the Ocean at Elgol Beach, Isle of Skye
Ashley & John's elopement was deeply personal, and perfectly casual. Both of them wanted to have a ceremony in a gorgeous, quiet place on Skye to avoid crowds. Elgol Beach - tucked away at the bottom of a steep hill in the lower corner of the island - was the perfect choice.
As fly fishers and outdoor lovers, the Skeabost Hotel seemed like a no-brainer for them. Their elopement week was full of hiking, adventure, and fishing. Even better, they spent their elopement day in a vintage jaguar, watching out the window as we passed by the mountains on the way to their ceremony.
We met Lesley at Honeycomb Rock, and shed a few tears during their heartfelt ceremony under the giant cliff. We signed the papers on the gorgeous sandstone and wandered the beach together. We found the perfect ledge to set up their styled picnic, and just like that, Ashley & John 's evening was complete with a gourmet platter, tea with lemon (their favourite!), and a custom red velvet cake. It doesn't get better than that!
As the sun was setting, Ashley & John were whisked away to a private dining experience at Kinloch Lodge to finish their night by romantic candlelight. A perfect ending to a perfect day!
